'Set my Sail' opens my
heart up so much, I just have to thank you for putting into lyric a truth
my heart has known and not been able to articulate. I have found that certain
songs become my friends - I listen to them over and over and appreciate
their perspective and am glad they are in my life, just like certain people
are. Your song has become one of those friends.
I really enjoy listening
to the song about winter. I love the arrangement - Rahmana's versatile
and challenging harmonies add so much dimension; a full and lively rhythm
thanks to the wonderfully arranged instrumental. Listening to her lead
in "Oh Holy Night" really connected me to the spirit behind the song and
moved me in a way the song has never moved me before. Sometimes it takes
the right vocalist to impart that spirit to help one realize it's there.
My 5 year old daughter
who usually begs to listen to her kid CDs in the car (or the Dixie Chicks)
said right away, "Oh mommy, I really like this!" And she's a tough critic.
As usual, your music
is so full of love - actually, it is love - and to get it as a gift! That
is the most beautiful hug I could receive! Thank you so much for thinking
of me.
I love
you big bunches of light,
Elaina-Rose

Dan and Rahmana, Thank
you for the gift of your song in your musical Christmas card. Sky in the
Road came to our house this week, bringing lots of Light. Blessings on
your work and play.
Dear Rahmana and Daniel,
We were so happy to have spent time with you at Sufi Camp and especially
delighted to bring your music home with us. I have been playing it for
many of the groups that I lead and people have fallen in love with many
of the songs. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful gifts.
With much love,
Carol Jud and Chris Boeve
Dear Dan and Rahmana,
Thank you so much for the lovely waltz you wrote for us, and for playing
so beautifully at our wedding. The energy and quality you brought just
added so much to our special day. We can't say "Thank You" enough. Music
is one of the gateways we have been given to that place where we are all
the same. The beauty of your music on our wedding day helped us all to
find that special and sacred place, together, deep within our hearts where
the you and the me disappear and we are one. Thank you for the gift of
your music, your song, and your part in helping us create a magical wedding.
Kim and John
Dear Dan and Rahmana,
Maybe you know, but I'll say it anyway. Your music always fills me with
joy, inspiration and the belief in possibility. You are such a blessing
on this earth.
Thank You,
Karen Scott
Rahmana- Thanks so
much for sending your CD. I know I will enjoy listening to it with my
daughter, Meryn. She had a lot of great things to say about your music.
Sincerely,
Leslie Siro-Dye
Dear Rahmana and Daniel,
Words cannot express our gratitude for your gifts of music and lyric at
our party last weekend. It was such a wonderful evening for us, and your
presence made it extra special. We were musing afterwards about our son
Gabriel lavishing affection on you, and we decided that your music puts
the same feeling of love in his heart that it does for us. Kids just don't
have the same censorship in expression that adults do. Without our cultural
conditioning you might have had 75 people following you around kissing
you repeatedly all night.
Fans for life, Suzy, Chris, Gabriel and Julia
Dear Rahmana and Dan,
I wanted to thank you for your fabulous and moving music. I hope you see
yourselves as the true ambassadors for Mother Earth that you are. Your
sound and your words set the intention for love and appreciation of our
home. You have sincerely touched me.

Hi to everyone in
Sky in the Road; Your songs mean so much to me and I play them for everyone!
Thank you so much for your music, lyrics, messages to the world! You have
touched so many hearts here in N.H. With much gratitude, Julie Morse
Rahmana and Dan, The
other night at Artichoke I was sitting in the audience listening to your
beautiful songs again and remembering the first times that I heard you
sing together, fighting back tears because the words and the music were
so beautiful it filled up my heart and then spilled over... Never underestimate
the power of your voices, your songs, and the people that you are. You
are touching so many. May you be touched too.
Mary Warner
Dear Rahmana and Dan,
What fabulous voices you both have! I was very touched by the songs you
did.

You're P.H.A.T!
Paradise

You made my stomach jump. And I even started to cry. You guys are really
great!
Love, Bree
You both are amazing.
I enjoyed your expression. It really moved me. Thank You.
Danielle
Dear Sky Guys,
I've been listening to your music on my commute. This morning I was alone
and was able to turn the volume up to "surround sound" and was so utterly
overwhelmed by four successive listenings to "The Rediscovery of Fire"
that I just had to send this out to say you have really created and are
creating something truly special! We first bought Sky in the Road and
listened to nothing else all week long. ("Out Beyond" is one of our favorite
songs in the world) Then we bought every recording you've made. This reviewer
finds the arrangements compelling, the lyrics deep and important, and
the vocals movingly beautiful! And if we could make everyone listen to
and hear "The Rediscovery of Fire" we'd unleash the wind which would purify
this world.
Om Shanti,
Nick and Reba Tartar
